Weight Class Declaration

Trackwrestling requires you to enter a weight class when using their system. You will not declare your weight class until you are prepared to weigh-in at each tournament.

Wrestlers must show their USAW card at registration for both events
(IKWF weigh-in card or roster can be used).

Cadet/Junior/Junior Women National Team Qualifying

Top 2 in each weight class automatically qualify to represent Illinois/USA Wrestling at the National Championships in Fargo, ND.
Note: The third place finisher through state qualifiers will compete at the National Team Second Chance Qualifier on 5/30 to determine the final spot for each weight class.

Kids/Cadet Northern Plains Qualifying

The top 6 in each weight class qualify to represent Illinois/USA Wrestling at the Northern Plains Kids/Cadet Regional Championships Loves Park, IL  on 6/11 - 6/13.

All USA Wrestling rules govern this event
All Schoolboy, Novice, Midget, and Bantam divisions wrestlers must wear a headgear.
Coach Requirement Current USA Wrestling Coaches card
USAW policy strictly enforced:
All coaches will be required to present a current USA Wrestling coach's card to obtain a wristband. You will not be allowed mat side without a wristband. Coaches cards will be available for purchase at each tournament. This is a national and state policy and failure to enforce jeopardizes our liability insurance and our ability to sanction qualifying event through USA Wrestling.

Saturday, May 16th
Registration/Weigh-in:
7:30 to 9 am (all age groups)
Registration/Weigh-in (Junior Division only): 2 to 3 pm
Kids Divisions Timetable:
10 am to conclusion
Cadet Division Timetable:
10 am to 2:30 pm
Junior Division Timetable:
4 to 8:30 pm

Weigh in Note: Any Junior division wrestler who competes at the Northern Plains Junior Regional in Waterloo, IA IS NOT required to weigh-in for GR State. However, they must register on Saturday between 2 and 3 pm. None.
Timetable Note: The above timetables are subject to change. The end times for each  session may need to be adjusted. Every attempt will be made to complete wrestling in the Junior Women, Schoolboy, Novice, Midget, and Bantam divisions on Saturday but we can not guarantee this will happen. Any adjustments will be made at the conclusion of weigh-ins Saturday morning and also during each session. Announcements will be made to keep wrestlers, coaches, and spectators informed as to any timetable changes.
